Polyfest 2010
Monday, July 4, 2011 at 2:00PM Kia kaha. Kia maia. Kia manawanui. Thank you and congratulations to the all kids who performed at Polyfest today – probably one of the biggest groups to do so. Pasifika; Tuingatahi; our full kapa haka troupe: all performed during our fifteen minutes of fame.
Congratulations and thanks to Lisa Tou, Brenda Devery (and Brenda’s mum) who prepared the Pasifika group; Raiha Johnson for preparing the kapa haka groups; and to everyone on our staff who contributed time and effort to the project; either by making sure that the kids were well prepared despite Raiha being away on motherhood duties; or taking care of the Waverley Park kids who are not kapa haka members.
Final thanks must go to the many parents (and grandparents) who assisted with care and supervision today; you are pure gold.
