Welcome to Waverley Park School - where we take our school motto seriously.

"Ora i te Ako - Living the Learning" indicates our commitment to our tamariki, their whanau and our community. We're not just about the academic stuff: relationships, personal excellence, resilience, manaakitanga, whanaungatanga, the Arts, Kapa Haka, sports - they all matter in the development of a great kid. We aim to assist every 'Waverley Park kid' to be the best they can be.

The journey is as every bit important as the destination. We want every Waverley Park kid to be able to make the most of the trip through their primary school years; hence the whakatauki "Kia kaha, kia maia, kia manawanui". "Be strong, be steadfast, be willing" is the conventional interpretation - but it can also be interpreted as Stand strong, stand tall and be of great heart. Either way, it's a great aspiration to have for our school and the kids in it.
